Awaken

Less than 1 minute Reading Time: Mins

Jesus came to wake us up, He came to show what truly matters. Do not allow your routine or your thoughts to let your soul fall asleep: listen, wake up, get up, go outside… It’s time to rise up.

Day 3

We are saved, we are believers, we go to church, we wake up from our habits and mistakes, we are prepared… What now?

You’ve been called for more. We are not only called to live, but to live in abundance. We were not called to be mere worshipers, but worshipers in spirit and truth. We were not called just to be Christians, we were called to be imitators of Christ.

We will never be holy enough, we will never be perfect believers, we will never be able to pay the price once laid on the cross. But still, He calls us to do it constantly—our role is to desire to hear from Him. God has placed the Holy Spirit in our hearts and wants us to be guided by him.

The Spirit of the Lord might not be in a great earthquake, a gale or a fire. Most of the times, he will be whispering in our hearts, or in the gentle breeze. He will be speaking to those who are able to listen. Let the breeze of the Spirit surround you, let the Holy Spirit speak to you, act in you, and guide your steps.

The heroes of faith were believers: they walked according to the word, repented, prayed, but they were more than that—they lived by the Spirit. They surrendered themselves completely to live the full will of God. Let Him awaken the sparkle in you! Ask for gifts, talents, fruits, and do not be satisfied. Teach your soul to always be thirsty and to be satisfied in the Spirit.

Seek restlessly, pray incessantly, worship constantly. He calls you, He acts on you, He lives in you. Wake up.

Accompanying bible verse

AMP Version

Isaiah 60:1

“Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come,
And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you.

John 3:8

The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it is coming from and where it is going; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

but just as it is written [in Scripture],

Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].”

10 For God has unveiled them and revealed them to us through the [Holy] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things [diligently], even [sounding and measuring] the [profound] depths of God [the divine counsels and things far beyond human understanding].

11 For what person knows the thoughts and motives of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So also no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God.

13 We also speak of these things, not in words taught or supplied by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual thoughts with spiritual words [for those being guided by the Holy Spirit].

14 But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters].

15 But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature].

16 For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].
