You can transform lives
Day 4
To Transform
In our lives, we are constantly surrounded by people: at work, school, inside our homes. While we focus on our lives, we can, sometimes, forget that there is a neighbor, or maybe even a friend, who has sadness written in their eyes, or is going through hardships and feeling empty. There is always someone who needs help from you and from God.
A simple invitation can change a life. Maybe a, “count on me” could close the doors to suicide. Sometimes just giving advice or saying, “don’t do it” can change a decision to end an addiction. A simple question like, “can I pray for you?” can bring back someone who has departed from the ways of the Lord. You can transform lives.
God has called us to be the salt of the earth, the salt that will give flavor to what has none. Salt that adds seasoning, that brings out the different and amazing flavors of life. We have the mission to bring color and relish to this world. We are the light of the world. The light illuminates, strips the darkness, it shows what was hiding in the dark. Our mission is to show the way. You can transform the world through the one who loved the world.
When the world judges, love. When the world gives up, rescue. When the world lies, show the truth. When the world is unjust, let there be justice. While the world ignores, show that you care. When the world hates, embrace. When the world standardizes, transform. Do all this, for the honor and glory of God.
Accompanying bible verse
AMP Version
Romans 12:2
2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
Matthew 5:13-16
13 “You are the [a]salt of the earth; but if the salt has [b]lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery].
14 “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;
15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Mark 16:15
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation
